Lash Extensions, sets and fills, are uniquely designed for each client. The extensions are attached individually to your natural lashes with medical grade, semi permanent adhesive, that enhances the length, curl, fullness, and thickness of your natural lashes. Style, length, and thickness can be determined on the health of your natural lashes; and the fullness of the lash extensions can be determined by how many lashes you have naturally.

• Save the caffeine for after your appointment. Caffeine causes jittery clients and eye twitching making for a difficult application of your extensions leaving a unclean look
• Arrive 10 minutes prior to your first appt for new client paperwork
• Optional to each clients wants and needs, bring headphones and a listening device to put your mine at ease
• Make sure to come to your appointment with no makeup, clean lashes, and a clean eye area, as your lashes will not be cleaned at your appointment for more extension application time. This is because it will allow for a strong adhesive bond and better retention
• Its important to keep still and leave your eyes closed the whole serve time to keep down the adhesive fumes from making your eyes water

When applied properly, your extensions should last the length of your natural eyelash growth cycle. This could differ for everyone, but for most, this cycle occurs every 6 to 10 weeks. We recommend getting a fill every 2 to 3 weeks as you typically shed 2 to 3 extensions per day. As your natural lashes grow out this causes you're extensions to weight down those lashes, creating for a heavy and droopy look. Fills should be considered in 22 days or less from your last fill/set to maintain a full look. After those 22 days have passed, your fill will then be considered a full set.

You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed for the duration of the application. The extension of appropriate length, thickness, and curl is selected, dipped in a tiny amount of surgical-grade adhesive, and attached near the base of one natural eyelash. Many clients fall asleep during this relaxing procedure.

No. The most important thing is to make sure you are having them properly applied by a highly-trained licensed and certified lash extension artist. The adhesive dries very soft on lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes. In fact, many people’s lashes become healthier as a result of wearing eyelash extensions because there is no need to wear mascara or curl your lashes anymore, which can be very damaging to lashes.
I have many clients that have been with me for 3+ years and their natural lashes are strong and healthy. In the field of lash extensions, "lash artists" are not always licensed estheticians or certified lash artists, therefore, they do not properly isolate your natural lash (which results in lashes glued together) or they will apply very heavy lashes (we use the lightest weight lashes on the market).

NO! Volume lashes are not to be confused with cluster lashes. Cluster lashes are a quick and easy alternative to volume lashes. Cluster lashes are pre-made fans with 4-7 synthetic fibers bound together at their base with a tiny plastic knot. Cluster lashes are heavy and not customizable. Volume lashes are custom-made lightweight fans that your lash artist builds and applies during your lash appointment. Volume lashes are much healthier for your lashes and result in a much cleaner look than cluster lashes.

It’s required that your eye area be clean and completely free of makeup. You can wear moisturizer and foundation but no liquid liner or mascara. Your lash artist will ask you to remove any makeup around your eye area before the start of your appointment. Come prepared with a clean eye area so your artist has the most time possible to spend on your lashes.

I recommend at least 2 days before your scheduled event. If you have never had lash extensions applied before, I recommend coming in 2-3 weeks prior to your event for a full set, then book a lash fill a few days prior to the actual event date. As with any beauty-enhancing treatment, it may take time to adjust to your new look.

Lash extensions are applied to your natural lashes, therefore, the amount of natural lashes you have is extremely relevant. If you have short weak natural lashes or small gaps in your lash line, volume lashes are perfect for you. Volume lash extensions are extremely lightweight and highly customizable, which allows gaps to be filled and a beautiful full lash line to be built. If you have extremely sparse natural lashes, we recommend getting started on LATISSE™, or another growth stimulant of your choice. Using LATISSE™ for a period of 2 months, will significantly strengthen and lengthen your lashes creating a perfect canvas for lash extensions.

Following all after-care instructions will aid in extending the life of your lash extensions. The first 48 hours following your application are most crucial. Care must be taken not to rub your eyes, pull your lashes, or scratch (this may cause your lashes to fall out prematurely). Gently cleanse around the eye region with Borboleta Lash Bath using a Borboleta lash cleansing brush or your fingers. Also, any cleansers and cosmetics containing glycols and carbonate can loosen the bond of the lash extensions. In the shower, you should avoid direct water spray on your extensions, do not use a steam bath, swim, or wash your face directly with hot water during your initial 24 hours post-application.
All after-care products including, oil-free make-up remover, Lash Bath and lash cleansing brushes can be purchased after your session.

Yes, but steam, excessive water, and oils do weaken the bond of the adhesive so if you are doing hot yoga every day or swimming/wearing tons of sunscreen, etc. you may need to come in closer to 2-2.5 weeks instead of the usual 3-4 week rotation. We recommend that you do not wash or wet your lashes for 4 hours after the eyelash application to allow your lashes to “set” completely.
-
Yes, BUT We do not recommend using mascara. One of the greatest benefits of Eyelash Extensions is eliminating the need for mascara on a daily basis. Having extensions actually gives the illusion of wearing mascara. We do not recommend using mascara, but if you do; DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA as these can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your extensions causing them to fall out sooner. Care also needs to be taken in washing off the mascara being careful to use only water-based make-up remover, such as Lash Bath. With volume lash extensions, we recommend you do not wear mascara.
-
We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions as these curlers will damage the extensions and possibly your own natural lashes.
-
Yes, they can easily be removed by your lash artist. Please do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own as you could damage your natural lashes this way.
-
An allergic reaction to the adhesive is extremely rare (generally, they can cause red/itchy/puffy eyes). When an allergic reaction does occur, symptoms typically resolve within 48 hours.
** If you suffer from seasonal allergies, lash extensions can sometimes contribute to the symptoms of your seasonal allergies when you already have very sensitive, irritated eyes.
Here are a few at-home tips that can provide relief if you feel you are having an allergic reaction:
• Take an antihistamine medication such as Benadryl
• Use an OTC antihistamine eye drop such as Zatidor
• Apply a cool compress to the eye-lid area
